The Haven that Is Lake Texoma Properties

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

I have checked out many properties that would fit the budget I have for a new home for me and my family and I found the Lake Texoma properties an absolute haven. The view is splendid, there are good schools about, and the community looks fantastic! I have already spoken to someone who would meet me there and go over some houses that I found to be perfect both for my budget and my family. I already talked to my wife about it.

My wife wasn’t as excited as I was before but when I showed her some pictures online, she got a bit excited as well. We immediately set up the appointment with an agent. The agent was extremely polite and very professional. That’s very encouraging to me and my wife.

We’re going there this weekend to see the place for ourselves and check out which home would “call” to us so to speak. I don’t think that we will go as far as teleport there once we decide to get a new house but its definitely our first choice. I don’t see any hindrance yet of moving there so I’m very much looking forward to our visit this weekend.

Arborist Climbing Gear is a Lifesaver!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

There are many jobs that depend on equipments and technology for them to be accomplished. There are certain jobs however that require individuals to rely on their equipment with their lives, quite literally. When in a situation like this it is very important then to choose the right kind of equipment to protect not only your job but your life as well.

Being an arborist is one of them. Arborists are those that take care of trees, and there are times that require them to actually climb trees that are extremely high. There are even times when they actually have to cut down a tree in sections so they have to climb a tree several feet from the ground. Suspended at sometimes more than 20 feet from the ground requires guts and also a reliable set of gears that would keep an arborist up there and not plummeting down to their death.

The right arborist climbing gear can literally save lives as arborists do depend their lives on the quality and science that backs up these gears. It’s not an easy job or a very glamorous one but its helping the environment and thus a very good job indeed!

Marble Countertops Dallas is the place!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

After you’ve come to the decision that you will be using marble countertops Dallas should be the first thing that comes to your mind. They have the experience and expertise in coming up with the design you have in mind. There are also a number of companies that you can choose from. The only limiting factor in what they can do for you would be your imagination. They offer a full range of services and is not just limited to countertops. There are sinks, bath tubs, floors, wet bars, vanity sinks and basically anywhere you want to have it customized, they can do it for you. You can even have granite customized if you prefer.
There are many benefits to using marble, one of which would be that they are durable, versatile and elegant-looking. Not to mention, very easy to clean!

As I’ve mentioned, the only limitation to using marbles in your home would be your imagination. So think of the many ways you can use marble in your home and when you do decide to have it customized, make sure you have the highest quality not only in stone quality but of service as well.

Free Wine Refrigerator!

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

I am now having a stone image of my sister carved and place it in a park somewhere! She has just given be the best housewarming gift ever! A wine refrigerator! Not that I didn’t love the other gifts but my sister went over the top this time.

She did mention that it’s also a birthday/advance Christmas gift but I couldn’t care less if she didn’t send gifts for a couple of years after this. I’ve always wanted one and having a new house that actually has a wine-cellar; I think it’s very thoughtful of her. Now, I don’t have to go up and down the cellar to get wine when I need it. I have those that I usually use for cooking and serving unexpected guests conveniently in my kitchen. I can easily restock it either from the one I have in my cellar or from the groceries. The ones that I have in my cellar and those that will stay there after I stock my new wine ref will be for special occasions. I’m thinking now that I will definitely give her one of my oldest collections for her upcoming birthday. If that was her intention though, she did the right thing.

Asphalt Hot Mix Plant Equipment Shortage

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

No, I don’t think there’s an actual asphalt hot mix plant equipment shortage but it certainly seems that way as the potholes that have decided to settle in the road heading to the main road that was commissioned to be asphalted are still that, potholes! It really is very inconvenient for people when they drive up and down that road with the many potholes taking residence there now. It doesn’t actually have too much traffic but it shouldn’t stay that way.

My three year old grandson tripped on one of those things when we were walking there yesterday and he scraped his knee. The poor thing cried so much I wanted to just punch someone in the face if it would make him stop. Don’t you just feel that sometimes when you see your child or in my case, grandchild?

I’m planning to check up on whoever is in-charge at the office of the asphalt plant to make sure that what happened to my grandson doesn’t happen again and when they actually plan in fixing those things.

I know I’m a bit over reacting but it really isn’t bad to just go there to make sure that it will be done as soon as possible, is it?

A Grand Family Vacation

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

Every year my sister and I would take turns in planning a grand family vacation. It would of course include our parents and both our families. That would be six adults with four kids. She’s planning this year’s trip and I think she wants to go to Japan. I have no idea where she got that but we’ve always enjoyed our vacations wherever we go.

The kids would definitely love being able to go to Disneyland Tokyo. I’ve already told them that they should be in their best behavior if they want to go and I showed them some pictures where we could go so naturally, I haven’t heard a peep from them. I think my kids and niece and nephew have come to love traveling as much as my sister and I do. Our parents love it too especially if their grandkids are there. I tell you, they spoil them rotten, more than they ever did me and my sister. I am not complaining though. It’s really good to see them together, their faces just light up whenever they see each other.

I think my sister will email me the details today and I’m sure whatever it is, we’ll have a blast and like the kids, I can’t wait!

My New Waterproof Digital Camcorder

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

I have finally bought it! Months of waiting and here it is. My fresh-from-the-box waterproof digital camcorder! It’s shiny, complete with all the buttons that it should come with and I even made sure I read the manual on how to take care of it properly. It can actually stand about 10 meters under sea water. I just absolutely love that. As you know, I’m a scuba freak and this will totally maximize the experience. Sometimes, a picture is just isn’t enough!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have already done what most new owners of this excellent piece of technology would in this situation. I turned it on, proceeded to the kitchen, got a glass of water and poured it on the device. I admit it made my heart skip a beat when I poured the water but it definitely gave me goose bumps when it was still on and no sparks were seen.

I know, the concept of waterproof gadgetry like this is not very new but cut me some slack here people! I save up for a few months for this and I’m just really excited. My friends and I will be going scuba-diving in a month and it’s definitely making an appearance!

Stainless Steel Bracelets as a Gift Idea

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

I have been burning quite a number of brain cells for about a week now on what to give my favorite cousin for her birthday next week. I think I’ve already bought him a load of stuff since forever as we did grow up together. After countless internet searching and mind you, I have already spent quite a while on it I found me an idea that seems to be a good one.

I have decided on buying him stainless steel bracelets just to surprise him. He loves everything I give him anyway. I’ve already had it delivered and I think it will get here either tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. The party will be this Saturday and not only am I bringing this lovely gift I will also bring my friend Mary to introduce to him.

Mary saw him once in my Facebook account and have asked about him. She was so excited when I told her that she will be my plus one for the party. I think my cousin will like her but I don’t want to assume anything here and I certainly don’t want my friend to expect anything. I hope everything goes well!

Window Treatment Ideas anyone?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

It’s 2010 and Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Don’t even get me started on Valentine’s Day, please. Don’t ruin our day with that question for me. Also, before you assume ahead, and make a donkey out of you and me, let me clarify that I am not bitter about Valentine’s Day. I just find prefer celebrating each other’s love can also be done on regular days.

Anyway, I’ve rearranged my furniture according to the Feng Shui articles I found online but I think I need more than that. I thought that it would be a good idea this year to give my windows a make-over: a complete transformation that I want to exude simplicity and a relaxing aura. I haven’t decided on the color theme yet of the living room or even in my bedroom yet.

That is why I’m asking you guys for some window treatment ideas on what to do with it. I know I can find hundreds of tips online but it doesn’t matter. I still want to hear your thoughts about the matter. I like asking you because you respond well and quickly. I would love to hear your ideas or if you know a site, just please send me the link. Please and thank you in advance!

With or without an Outdoor Fireplace?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 | Aptitude | Comments Off

So here it is finally, a meeting with my architect to design my dream home. I’ve already listed down all the little details that I want on every part of the house and we will collaborate on the design. It would not be too big or too grand but I would want it to be spacious and relaxing. I’m even undecided yet if I’m going to have an outdoor fireplace. I’m not sure if it will make the house a bit too grand. I’ll have to ask the architect about that. I am very sure about the kitchen to be the most spacious part of the house as I plan to entertain guest at my new kitchen. I can hardly wait!

I have not heard from the interior designer yet but I don’t have to worry too much about it as she did mention that she would need the blueprints first. Okay, I am getting a little bit over excited here but then it is my first house and who wouldn’t be excited?

I think I have everything and anything else that I might have missed, I’m sure that the architect won’t fail to mention. I just hope that everything I’ve listed down will be followed without it getting too expensive.
